Small country lane to access beach car park but a huge car park on arrival. Steep slope down to sand but accessible to wheels!

Really picturesque spot with ease of access to open water swimming and a paddle boarding centre.

Really nice swim this evening, but be warned the seaweed will get you on low tide 😂

Great swim today at Bovisand. Great conditions. Went from Beach furthest south a bit heavy with rotting seaweed. Lots of people paddle boarding from other beach. Sea was lovely. Unfortunately cafe was closed. 4g signal from second car park a bit intermittent so watch for parking charges if relying on Ringo.

Small sandy beach, have to descend the steps to make it to the beach. Views and clarity are great. Not protected by the breakwater so could see bigger swell than other places locally

Firestone Bay is a small pebble beach which supplies astounding views of the Stonehouse peninsula, Mount Edgcumbe, the Plymouth Sound and Drake’s Island. The area around Firestone Bay is great for swimming and snorkelling, with lots of interesting marine life to see.

This location is the reason I fell in love with Open Water Swimming. I have so many good memories from swimming in awful conditions to sunrises that will live with me for ever.

The Hutong Cafe serves up the perfect post swim coffee and cake
